I have been a presence in Montana film for 34 years, beginning my career as an extra and production assistant on the movie, Rancho Deluxe, filmed in Livingston in 1974. That was followed by other notable films including Missouri Breaks (1976) and Heaven's Gate (1979).
I began my professional career in 1986 with the film Cold Feet, scripted by Tom McGuane. Since then, I have worked on many of the top features that have filmed in the state. In addition to Casting Director, I have held the positions of Location Scout and production coordinator, and thus, has a varied understanding of the way films and commercials are produced. Most known for her 'real people' casting, her clients have included many of the top LA and NY production companies and film directors. 'Breaking' into the business through the back door, my story of learning 'on the job' is inspiring.
From the beginning, I have held the belief that the film industry is a positive force for economic development and as such, has dedicated much of my time to work with the Montana Film Commission and local chambers of comerce to promote filming in the state. I designed and produced a photographic film guide for Yellowstone Country (1989) and, for many years, represented Montana at the Location Film Expo in L.A. promoting Montana locations for filming.
