Jay is an award-winning filmmaker known for his unique talent in crafting understated comedies that strike the perfect balance between wit and heart. His work predominantly focuses on the British East/Southeast Asian experience, delving into themes of family relationships, interculturality, identity, and self-discovery.
With a calm and compassionate approach to his craft, Jay infuses his storytelling with a cheeky edge that sets his work apart. His dedication to representation is evident, as he actively seeks out collaborations with underrepresented voices, particularly from the BESEA/ESEA talent community.
Jay's journey in the world of entertainment began as an actor, gracing the screens of popular TV shows such as "Doctors" on BBC, "Rain Dogs" on BBC/HBO MAX, and "Grace" on ITV. In 2013, Jay co-founded Wolfpack Productions Ltd., a creative hub where he produced several award-winning web series and short films. His exceptional work even earned him a spot on the shortlist for the Nespresso Talents UK award in 2018.
